Kids or no kids is the first fork

Sandals is 18+. Beaches is the family brand. The planner will not send a stroller to an adults-only beach.

The week matters as much as the resort

Christmas, spring break, and Labor Day do not feel like May. We show crowding, climate, and storm season on the same screen.

When to go

Hurricane season is not a single weather.

Official Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1–November 30. Peak activity is mid-August through mid-October. Curaçao sits south of the belt. Barbados, Grenada, and St. Vincent are lower risk than Jamaica, the Bahamas, or Turks & Caicos. The planner layers that on top of US school holidays so you do not accidentally book spring break prices for a quiet trip.

Weather, storms, and school calendar →
  • Late April – early June

Spring break is over, hurricane season has not peaked, and families are still in school. One of the best couples windows.

  • Early June

Hurricane season has started on paper, but storm activity is usually low. Rates beat winter by a wide margin.

  • Late August – October (south islands)

Cheapest air and rooms of the year. Use Curaçao, Barbados, Grenada, or St. Vincent if you want to cut storm exposure.

  • First three weeks of November

Season is winding down, Thanksgiving has not hit yet. A quietly excellent couples window.
