Sangster (MBJ) is the main gateway. Montego Bay resorts are 10–20 minutes from the airport; Negril and Ocho Rios are about an hour to 90 minutes.
Hurricane profile: high. In the main hurricane belt. Peak risk is August through October, with western Jamaica historically more exposed in late season. Dry season December–April.
